Company History
| Our company
began with the determined insight of Ray Hollopeter in 1930 at the
beginning of the Depression era. Ray began in an old blacksmith shop on
West Smith Road. The blacksmith shop was shared with another new
business - Medina Auto Parts - managed by Ed and George Morse. Medina
Auto Parts continues to be family-run by third generation Mike and Mark
Morse. Ray was in business an entire year before selling his first tractor. A man of enduring faith, Ray surrendered the business to God as he faced the devastated economy. Later in 1939 with the introduction of the Ford-Ferguson, the business began to grow; in 1945, it moved to larger quarters on North Court Street. The ever-expanding Ford product line demanded more space, and in 1976 the business again moved to its present location on Norwalk Road (Route 18). Medina Tractor Sales was incorporated in 1959 with son Sheldon Hollopeter as president and general manager. Now, third generation Hollopeters' manage the business. Sheldon, age 85, continues to work in the parts department offering support to his sons Brent, Evan and Reed. They continue the family tradition of integrity and faith that began many years ago with Ray, and are grateful to serve you for years to come! We also wish to acknowledge our staff with immense gratitude. We appreciate the sacrifice made by them and their families to meet the demands of our seasonal business. 10 Reasons to Purchase What Fits
